Movin' on Up

I was treated to a brief but happy visit from my son and his S.O., Tasha, this morning. Like all of our kids at one time or another, he is benefiting from our packrat tendencies by shopping in the semi-truck trailer still parked in our back yard.

Oh, yes, folks, it's still there!!

Chase and Tasha retrieved a chair and sofa set from our exclusive Crap Collection to transport to their new digs. They were both so excited to be moving to a place of their very own. It brought back my memories of that heady feeling that comes with striking out on one's own. What an empowering and exhilirating time of life! I was happy to be a part of it.

As Chase put it, he's, "Kicking it big-time in P-Town." Ahem! Right on, brother! Or somethinglikethat. Here he showcases the "guns" that allowed him to single-handedly heft the extra large couch and chair into the truck:

And here Tasha demonstrates that a girl can be fashionable, even on moving day, in her up-to-the-minute stylish over-sized sunglasses:

And, for all the curious, here is a shot of Chase in the trailer:

How's that for a yawning cavern of doom?

It's like HELLOOOooooooo! You can barely see the end of the thing. I tried my best to talk Chase and Tasha into dragging away more of our wares, but, wisely, they declined and drove away quickly.

VERY quickly.

Good luck kids! Don't forget to write.
(*sniff*)
