The Road to Grandma's

I've been spending a lot of time lately in southern Illinois. I took the photo above, on a whim, from my car, actually. That is the last stretch of road before my Grandma's house. Just around the bend in the distance is the first outbuilding on the farm.

It occurred to me just now while I was browsing through my pictures that this place, this road and Grandma's house, is the most constant location of my life.
And these days, when everything sort of seems up in the air, it is especially nice to know that one place, at least, hasn't changed.
